Leisa joined the Menzies team in 2017 as a student on placement for her disability studies, and continued as a volunteer in the Woodwork program until commencing as a support worker in 2018. Leisa soon began assisting the administration team with the production of Menzies News and other publications, utilising skills from her history in design and print media. Her current role of Service Coordinator includes communicating with clients and carers to plan supports, providing support workers with information and guidance, and supporting the administration team with a variety of operational functions. As carer of a person with disabilities, Leisa regularly interacts with the broader disability sector, and is passionate about the rigths of people with disabilities to access services and opportunities. On the weekend, Leisa enjoys spending time with family, movies, and home renovations.
