Group Programs
Group and centre-based programs support ENGAGEMENT, skill development & social connections.
Programs are designed to the goals, interests and support needs of participants, including independent living skills, communicating and socialising with peers and the greater community, planning and technical skills, increased creative expression, and improved wellbeing.
Group programs provide an opportunity to access supports at a lower hourly rate, scroll down to Support Costs for details.
Current programs:
- Monday Ability Arts (morning / afternoon available)
- Monday and Tuesday Menzies Radio Show (at UGFM)
- Monday to Friday Client Reception (office work skills program)
- Tuesday Leisure and Rec (including Zumba, mornings)
- Tuesday Pottery and Clay (morning / afternoon available)
- Wednesday-Friday The Dame (retail work skills program)
- Thursday Learning for Life (afternoon)
- Thursday Social Club (mornings)
- Friday Horticulture (morning)
- Friday Woodwork (morning)
Support costs
The cost of supports are shared by clients in the group, per support worker (staff to client ratio), providing participants an opportunity to access supports at a lower hourly rate.
Rates are according to the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits (Price Guide) 2025/26:
- 1:1 $70.23 per hour (1:1 centre-based program or where client requires 1:1 support to attend group activities)
- 1:2 ratio (2 clients per worker in group) $35.11 per hour per client
- 1:3 ratio (3 clients per worker in group) $23.41 per hour per client
- 1:4 ratio (4 clients per worker in group) $17.55 per client per hour
- 1:5 ratio (5 clients per worker in group) $14.04 per hour per client
- Plus Centre Capital Cost $2.59 per person per hour (this cost is not shared)
Program areas may include cooking; health and fitness; music, arts and crafts; gardening and woodwork; to name just a few. We are also interested to hear your ideas or wish list items for planning future programs.
